This is our High Adventure trip-- 9 days of non-stop action doing all the top adventures in the country. From ziplining 800 ft in the air to rafting 2 separate class IV rivers and rappelling off 200ft waterfalls, we promise to keep your adrenaline pumping for the whole trip.

  • Day 1
    Arrive (Airport Hotel)

A representative of Tico Tom Tours will meet you at the airport and will bring you to a nearby hotel where you will meet and go over the itinerary for the week and get you ready for one of the greatest adventures of your life.

  • Day 2
Drive to Dominical, where the mountain meets the sea.

We will be on a beautiful beach and yet less than 1 mile from a 300ft waterfall in the tropical rainforest. Dominical is not the super touristy area as other beaches are but it offers everything you need when looking for adventure and a little bit of sun. (Dominical Beach Hotel).

  • Day 3
Snorkel and search for whales and dolphins

We’ll visit Whale National Park”by boat, where you’re bound to see many dolphins and humpback whales. (Dominical Beach Hotel).

  • Day 4
Hike to Nauyaca Waterfalls and rappel

the most beautiful fall in all of Central America. This 300ft waterfall makes for a great hike through the rainforest with your reward being one the nicest swimholes in all of the Americas. Nauyaca Falls is not a fall everyone is going to see because it involves a hike to get to it but when you arrive you will know it is really worth the hike because you will then start the rappel adventure. (River Hotel).

  • Day 5
    Raft Pacuare River

National Geographic has this river in the top five rivers to raft in the world. If you like rafting the next two days will be your favorite days of the trip. We start with an incredibly scenic river, the Pacuare River, which runs through two canyons and has four class IV rapids in around three hrs. Rafting through all virgin rainforest you will truly get an inside look at Costa Rica. (River Hotel).

  • Day 6
    Raft the Pascua Section

This is a continuous class IV river running 20 class IV’s in just two hours, it is constant action. Today we kick it up a notch and even if this river was very scenic you still would not notice because all you are doing is rowing, rowing, & rowing. This is a great class IV run and filled with some big water that will get your adrenaline pumping for sure. (Arenal Hotel).

  • Day 7
Zipline and hang out in the afternoon in the hotsprings

If you like hanging from a cable 800ft in the air and zipping from mountain top to mountain top then this is your day. There are many ziplines in the country and this is by far the best one. With incredible views of the active volcano Arenal and the lake of Arenal you will hardly notice you are 800ft in the air. After we zip eight different cables everyone’s reward is to relax for the evening and reminisce all your adventures in the hotsprings at Arenal. Springs. They are fed by the volcano and here you will feel ultimate relaxation. (Arenal Hotel).

  • Day 8
Drive to La Paz Waterfall Gardens (Airport Hotel)

One more adventure left and this is an easy day but one of the most beautiful areas in the country which is the Vara Blanca Cloud Forest. Today we will hike and visit 5 different waterfalls and have a great lunch.
