Our Costa Rica birding tours are run completely privately with first class service from start to finish. Do not worry about the large crowds that other birding tours have. This is a trip that you will truly experience with our expert guides on a very personal level. The birds of Costa Rica help but I promise you, the guides is what makes this trip a success. With the knowledge our guides have in the area of Costa Rica birding this is truely a treat to have such experts on such a personal level. The idea of running a private trip is to get away from the large crowds so you dont see a bird and then pile 20 people on the side of the road or try and get a glimpse into the telescope after waiting for everyone to get a glimpse on the bird that has probably by now flown away. With the private trip you get closer to nature in it's sounds, scenery, and pure essense. I do not think birding tours should ever be attempted in large groups and it is a hobby that demands fewer spectators than birds in order to enjoy the true beauty of seeing the birds. Take a look at this itinerary and we also can make custom Costa Rica birding itineraries. All trips are in small groups and you are privately driven throughout the whole itinerary by your guide in a very comfortable and modern SUV. This trip is run at your pace and stops and goes when you need it to.
